IDEE Blue Cruise

BODRUM, the place where BLUE CRUISE was born:

What do Prince Charles, Princess Caroline of Monaco, the Italian designers Valentino and Armani, Dustin Hoffman, Sting, Pavarotti, Phil Collins, Bette Midler, Tina Turner, Robert de Niro, Mick Jagger, and Jon Bon Jovi have in common?

They are frequent guests of Bodrum, a magnificent town on the southwestern coast of Turkey.

Blue Cruise

Yacht cruise along Turkey's Aegean and Mediterranean coasts

Turkish intellectuals also set out on coastal trips to Turkey's history and natural wonders. They hired local fishermen, sponge divers, and their boats gulets. Blue Cruise was born.

The Turkish Gulet

Luxury gulets are designed for cruises between Kusadasi and Antalya from spring to fall. Chartering a gulet is a great opportunity to be in charge of your itinerary and sail with your friends.

Gulets are built of wood in a traditional style and range from 18 to 30 meters in length. They accommodate up to 20 people in spacious twin-berthed or double-berthed cabins. The large deck is ideal for sunbathing and dining.

Your captain and crew are experienced seamen. They know the route inside-out and will share their knowledge and local lore with you. Quarters for the crew are completely separate with private facilities and an entrance at the fore.

In addition to running the sails safely and according to your itinerary, the crew will assist and pamper you by suggesting suitable anchorages, arranging shore excursions, and serving cocktails and delicious meals.

You'll be delighted by the culinary surprises on board. A variety of salads, yogurt, and vegetables accompany a selection of chicken, lamb, beef and fish dishes.

Life on Board

Sailing aboard a gulet appeals to all age groups. The trip can be as relaxing or as energetic an experience as you desire.

Imagine yourself on a beautiful gulet at tea time relaxing on the deck and admiring the ancient ruins of Greek/Roman temples resting in the emerald pine forests.

Imagine the pleasure of cruising on a yacht along the turquoise coast, sunbathing on the foredeck, or going for a refreshing dive in the crystal clear waters of the Aegean or Mediterranean.

A more active day may include windsurfing, fishing, swimming or snorkeling among schools of fish and ancient under-water ruins.

When docked, you may wish to hike in the woods or tour a nearby ancient city, for example, the Greco-Roman city of Kaunus, the Lycian rock tombs above the Dalyan River or have a special shore evening in a Turkish town.

After dinner, sing with the glittering stars accompanied by a smiling moon.
